The Charlie Brown Tree Returns. Also, Snow in a Can!

Hello, folks! Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving/ Thursday Nov. 24, if it wasn't Thanksgiving in your part of the world. Our was pretty quiet. Nice, and filled with food, but I did so much prep work on Wednesday, that Thursday was mostly just sitting around, waiting for the oven to cook things! I'm so used to scrambling to get things done on Turkey Day itself, I was almost bored, lol! You know me, I don't do so well unless I'm busy & moving!

But, I'm back to busy & moving now. :) I'm still working on making some 1/6 Christmas gifts. Wish I could post pics, since they're turning out kinda rad, but that would sort of ruin the surprise, lol. Maybe after the holidays. Okay, definitely after the holidays. :)

I've also been working on some more commissions. Since I opened the door a bit  in the last post, I've gotten quite a few emails, so that should keep me busy for a few more days as well. I got a surprising number of requests for the mini Charlie Brown tree that I sold in the etsy shop last year!

Since I so enjoy making holiday items, and these still seem to be a favorite, I decided to make some extras. The etsy shop may be closed, but the Charlie Brown Tree has returned for one more holiday season. :)

They stand about 4 inches tall and make adorable holiday decor for your dolls-- or maybe even for a lucky friend. ;)

I currently have 12 trees for sale.

They are available for $20 each, plus $3 US shipping.  (I'm happy to ship international, but can't guarantee Christmas delivery. Just send me your address for a shipping quote.)

If you're interested in snagging one (or more), they'll be first come first serve. Just email me at smidgehouse@gmail.com. I'll get back to you in the order I receive the emails. (Paypal only, please.)

In other news, remember the trip to the dollar store I told you about? Well, while it was mostly uneventful, (other than the thrill of snagging things for a dollar that sell elsewhere for 5, like candle lighters and magic erasers-- yaaay!) I did pick up one thing that seems exciting:

Instant Decorative Snow in a Can!

The directions say: "Just add water. Looks and feels like real snow." For a dollar, how can I lose, right? Will it poison me, and/or make me blind? Who knows! Hopefully not!

I'll be opening it later tonight, so I'll update you either way. Should be interesting! :)

Okay, I'm back to do some work. (I'm not doing so well with the whole "vacation" part of being on vacation, but I'm sure you all knew that would be the case, lol. Although we are headed to the movies on Monday, so that's totally vacationy! See? I'm not a total workaholic!)

Anyhow, see you all soon! (Assuming the instant decorative snow doesn't blind me.)

Happy Holiday Weekend!

  2. Hey girl, it's so awesome to have updates from you again. Your recent work is of course amazing and I'm in awe of how your created those little replicas. And YAY for the Charlie Brown Christmas tree making a return to the House of Smidge. ;-) Speaking of which, do not think I forgot about what I was going to send you. Can't promise it will be before Christmas, but shortly there after for sure. Yes, I feel terrible for being so late, but does it make you feel better I owe several people things I am just not feeling well enough to jump on? Going to churn out as much for as long as I'm up an up moment. :-) Just hope you like it. *fingers crossed* I'm hoping to have a busy end of year. I think I'm a lot like you, I'm not happy unless I'm busy. LOL! Have a great weekend and hope you enjoy your movie vacay on Monday. :-)
