Front Page News!

Hey, peeps!

So, after all the time & work I've spent on the etsy shop, last night one of my items was actually featured on the front page!

 ... aaaaand of course, I missed it,

LOL! That's life for ya.

But, with the help of a couple of etsy-helper sites, I managed to piece the thing together. :)

This morning I got a message from something I'd signed up for (& forgotten about) about a zillion years ago called Featurator. It's basically a mailing list on Statsy.org that sends you an automatic email if you're featured on the front page.

Went to check the shop, and yup. About a thousand new visits in the past 12 hours. That's new, lol.

Craftcult.com has a thing on their site called The Vault, where you can basically grab a screenshot type widget of you on the front page. (That's what's up there at the top.)

So, hooray for super useful not-etsy affiliated sites like Statsy and Craft Cult! :)

And, of course, a big thank you to the curator of this featured treasury (group of goodies) : bb from hoppala, who also happens to make super cute stuffed robots and monsters and other cool stuff. You can check her shop out here if you like.

And, we can't forget the star of the show, right?  :)

  - Congratulations on making it to the front page of etsy, little Color Splash Slipper Chair! What are you going to do now?

    - I'm going to Disneyland!!!!!!!

 Lol, actually, he's still in the shop for now, but who knows. Stranger things have happened. ;)

For now he gets to hang out in the featured spot, and proudly wear this little etsy badge on his listing:

So, lately I've been completely MIA, I know. There are some pretty major life/career/family dealings going on right now that are basically keeping the blog (& the internet in general) off my to-to list these days. With some extra help from the assistant-slash-boyfriend, the shop is still shipping out goodies like always, but that's about all I can manage right now.

Those of you who keep a blog know that it's not just a sit down and type for 5 minutes thing. It's something that eats up your time in big chunks-- and I just truly don't have that time these days. I know a lot of you have found/are finding yourselves in similar situations, so you know how it is, and thanks for understanding. :). Sometimes ya gotta do whatcha gotta do.

EDITED 3/18: The Shop is now closed, and I'll be gone for at least the next couple of months. Thanks for understanding. 

But, since you all have been on this journey with me for so long, I did want to make it a point to stop in and share the front page news (haha)  with you all. :)
